InEight Billings is used to capture 100% of billable revenue on time and materials or cost plus projects.
The Effective Date is the date when the billing rate will come into effect. For example, if the effective date is May 1st, 2026, the rate will not come into effect until that date.
Yes, and you can easily adjust rates, in mass, if needed. This functionality can be a benefit when there is a union rate change or a craft classification is changed and you need to adjust the associated rates.
Yes. You can setup default markup as it applies to Personnel resources, Equipment resources, and Material resources. Additionally, you can capture any exceptions that need to be applied to the default markups at a very granular level.
No, there is no limit to the number of projects you can manage in InEight Billings.
InEight Billings allows for project by project configuration so it can be tailored to each specific project’s needs. Contract billing rates are managed within rate tables, which in turn are associated with projects or jobs. Rate tables associated with a project are used by all WBS items contained within that job. This gives you more granular control over billing rates by being able to associate each WBS item to a different rate table. And, by holding rates separate from the project, it is easy to re-use existing sets of rates between different projects.
InEight Billings includes numerous web-based reports as well as dashboards. Reports include real-time information about project costs, productivity and completion forecasting. You can report on expended hours and costs, exceptions and payroll reconciliation. You can also use the reporting tool to quickly review inputs and test “what if” scenarios. All reports can be printed – including your template and logo; eliminating the need to reformat before printing.
Yes, you can import timesheets into InEight Billings from spreadsheets. Alternatively, if you have the full InEight Platform, this isn’t necessary because the information is integrated for you through the InEight Plan & Progress applications.
Yes, however, the real benefit of InEight Billings is realized for time and materials and cost plus work.
Yes, we can accept 3rd party data feeds through the API. Billable items can arrive into InEight Billings as manually entry, imported from spreadsheets, submitted from the mobile app, or received directly from your ERP by using the InEight Billings API.
