Global Search - Advanced

The standard Global search searches for a text string within the Title/Subject or All fields across one or more modules for selected InEight Document projects.

The Advanced option within the Global search window if selected allows for more advanced search criteria to be defined for any module included in the search.

 

To run an Advanced Global Search:

1. Click Search in the top menu area.

2. Select the Project to search within (defaults to the current project).

3. Click the Advanced option.

4. Click on a module link and define the search criteria in the advanced search window that will appear (this is the normal advanced search window for the selected module).

5. Click the Search button when done to return to the Global Search window.

6. Click the Search button at the Global Search window to run the search.

The advanced search window that loads for each module is based on the current project in relation to custom fields.
