Using Search Words

When searching for text strings both via the Global Search and all other search options in InEight Document, the system supports the following search word/phrase options:

  1. Prefix words: Search for “Doc*” to get results for Doc, Document, Documentation etc.

  1. Multiple Words: A Search for Civil Drawings will now return results for data containing both words but regardless of order. I.e. “Civil Design Drawings”, “Civil Drawings” and “Drawings Civil” will be found.

  2. Prefix Multiple words: “elec spec* would return both “electrical specification” and “election spectator”.

  3. Search Phrase: To search for a specific phrase – enter the text in double quotes. “Electrical Engineer” will return only the exact phrase.
