You can use central user management to add multiple companies at one time.
You can enter each company manually, or you can import companies from other projects.
Summary: Use central user management when you want to add multiple companies at the same time to one or more projects.
Considerations: Only projects that you have access to show on the central user management page. These instructions show how to add companies by importing from another project. You can also manually add contacts on the same Add Companies page.
From your project, open the Admin section and then select Central user management. The Central user management page opens.
Select one or more projects that you want to add companies to.
Expand the Actions menu, and then select Manage users > Add companies. The Add Companies wizard opens.
On the Add Companies page of the Wizard, expand the Actions menu, and then select Import companies from project. The Import Companies dialog box opens.
In the Import Companies dialog box, select the project you want to import from. You can select a company type and a trade to narrow the results.
Select the companies you want to import, and then click the arrow icon to move them to the Allocated companies, departments and users section of the page.
Click Import. The selected companies show in the list on the Add Companies page.
Optionally, repeat steps 4-7 if you want to import companies from other projects.
Click Next. The Corrections page opens with a list of companies that require corrective action. Scroll to the right to see the reason for the error.
Optionally, you can click the Export icon to export the list to an Excel spreadsheet for easier scrolling. If there are no errors the Execute page opens, and you can continue with step 11.
If you want to correct errors, click the Back button to return to the Add Companies page. You can then correct the errors, and then click Next to return to the Corrections page. If you want to add the company with the errors, you can deselect the Ignore check box.
Click Next. The Execute page opens with a list of all companies that you want to add.
Click Next. The Add companies dialog box open with a caution that the action will be completed as a background process.
Verify the email address, and then click Proceed.
