Transferring Document Ownership

You might need to transfer document ownership to another company if they need to upload ongoing revisions. An example of this is when the early revisions of a document are uploaded on behalf of another company before a document controller is appointed.

To transfer document ownership:

  1. Select the document.

  2. Click Actions.

  3. In the Admin menu, select Transfer document ownership.

  4. Select the company you’re transferring ownership to.

  5. Select the contact for the company.

  6. If you want to transfer all revisions of the document to the company, select the check box.
