Welcome to InEight Document.

This video demonstrates how to create contact groups.

Contact groups, work like distribution groups in Outlook.

Once set up, use contact groups to send mail or transmittals to entire defined group.

First, go to the address book.

Then, click actions and choose contact groups.

Click here to update your existing contact groups, or click here to create a new one.

Give your new contact group a meaningful title.

Especially if you make it available to all users in your company.

You can now add users to your contact group. Choose the contacts by company and add them to these fields as appropriate.

Save once complete.

Another option are smart contact groups that automatically assign contacts to the group based on certain attributes.

To create a smart group, click here and enter details as before, except also tick the smart group option.

Now, define the filters and choose your parameters.

In this case, the contact group is for all administrators from the head contractor.

The filtered contacts section here shows who is included in the smart group.

Once complete, click save.

To send mail to a contact group, type the contact group name, into the relevant address fields, or click to.

Switch to contact groups and choose the group from there.

This populates the predefined address fields with the appropriate contacts.
