Welcome to InEight Document.

This video demonstrates how to set up and administer inspection lists using the defects module.

First, to create a new item in an inspection list, Click here.

Select defects.

Then click project inspection list.

Click this symbol to create a new list.

The list details can be entered here.

You can attach drawings or any other files.

Once complete, click save.

This adds the item to the project inspection list.

You can remove an inspection list item that has not had a defect registered against it, by selecting the list and clicking here.

To confirm, choose yes.

To duplicate an inspection list item, select the item, click here, and click yes to confirm.

Update any details, and save.

To edit an inspection list item.

Right click, and select edit.

From the edit screen, all details can be updated if accept the parent item.

Click save once complete.

To export a project inspection list, Select the export button.

Then import template.

This exports all the information currently within the project inspection list into an Excel spreadsheet that is grouped and sorted.

This can then be used to import this into another project.

Lastly, take a look at the defect project settings found by selecting project settings.

Then the defects tab.

From here, the default number of days to rectify defects can be set and the default for new defects can be set as pass not cast, or not applicable.

Rank captions can also be set. This allows the project inspection list to match your terminology.

For example, if this was a group of stations, the rank captions, could include the station instead of building, and platform areas instead of areas.
