Welcome to InEight Document.
This video demonstrates some of the key project settings for InEight Document.
To access project settings, click here. From the settings menu.
As you can see, project settings are divided intersections for easier navigation.
First, let's have a look at some of the key general settings.
Click here to enable the permission to grant admin access to change details like discipline for multiple documents at the same time.
Need to delete a document that's associated with a transmittal?
Without cancelling the transmittal?
If so, This option needs to be ticked. We recommend enabling this option only as needed, then disabling once the relevant documents have been removed.
When deleting a document, there is an option to notify all users with access to the document that it's being deleted.
Enabling this project setting, just means that option will be ticked by default.
It can always be unticked manually. Each time you delete a document if required.
Now let's have a look at some of the upload settings.
Document metadata can be extracted from the file name. If this option is ticked.
Document metadata is then automatically populated.
Based on information, pulled from the file name of the document or documents being uploaded.
To enable this functionality, You will also need to define the document filename format in the relevant configuration table.
If your project needs to be able to select or search for text in uploaded PDF documents, then select this option to automatically apply OCR.
Optical character recognition to PDF documents after they've been uploaded.
Note that this option will only apply to newly uploaded PDFs.
Is your project Using links to associate documents with other items like mail? Enable this option. If you want links to carry forward with new revisions of documents when they're updated.
For comment settings, Select this option if your company wants to be able to add comments or mark ups to unrestrained documents outside of the review workflow.
In the distribution settings, if this project uses distribution groups, Tick this option which will automatically alert admins if a document is uploaded with no distribution group This will prompt admins to set up a distribution group so the documents will become accessible.
Finally, when adding users to a distribution group, select this option to ensure the notified checkbox is ticked by default.
