This video will walk you through how to import form types from one project to another.
Chapter: Prerequisites for Importing Forms
To complete this process, you must have form creation permissions on the project you’re importing forms into. From the form register, go to Actions, hover over Admin, and select Import Form Types from Project.
Chapter: Selecting the Source Project
In the project selection drop‑down, you'll see all projects where you are an administrator and have access to the form builder. Choose the project that contains the form types you want to import. You will then see a list of all form types available in that project.
Chapter: Choosing Form Types to Import
Select one or more form types you’d like to bring into your current project. Here, you can update the imported form type and form title if needed.
Chapter: Reviewing Configuration Tables
You can review how the configuration tables will be affected during the import. Some configuration tables may have conflicts and won’t be imported automatically. These will need to be reviewed and updated before the form can be used.
If any conflicts occur, you must enter a form type and title on the previous screen; otherwise, the import cannot be completed.
Chapter: Mapping Configuration Tables
If your project does not already contain a required configuration table, the system will create it during the import. Alternatively, you can use the drop‑down to map the field to an existing field in your project.
Chapter: Copying Workflows
If the form includes a workflow, tick the checkbox to copy it across. All workflow steps and details will be included. Once you’ve selected the form types and made any changes to their titles or type, click Import.
Chapter: Post‑Import Review
After importing, open Configure Form Types to review or update any final settings.
Chapter: Publishing the Imported Forms
When everything is ready, click Publish so the form becomes avail able for use on the project.
And that’s how you import form types from one project to another. Thanks for watching.
