Dashboard & General Navigation

Welcome to InEight Document.

This video provides a quick overview of the new InEight Document user interface.

Including key dashboard and navigation enhancements, new filter features, and the new look document register.

First thing you'll notice is that the overall design has been streamlined. From the top left menu, you can access your favorite projects, settings, all projects, and all the online InEight products you have access to.

Here we have dashboard tiles showing you project information from each module.

Tiles can be moved anywhere and made bigger or smaller as needed.

Want to add a tile to your dashboard? Just click here and drag and drop the tile you want onto the dashboard.

Or remove tiles you don't need like this.

Once the dashboard is exactly how you want it, you can save it to use every time you log in.

You can return to the dashboard at any time by clicking the home icon.

The new button can now be found here, but still works in the same way as before.

Did you notice that modules are no longer listed in the left panel?

To maximize the use of your whole screen, all modules are now located in the drop down menu up here.

Including the address book and reports.

You can now find project and administration settings in one handy location here under settings.

Need assistance, you'll find everything you need under the help menu.

Manage your user preferences and password settings here and use this icon to sign out.

My favorite improvement has got to be the quick launch bar. Create quick launch links, to access your most common functions.

Say you send a lot of change orders. Normally to do this, you would click new, then move to mail and select the mail type.

But if you set up a quick launch link like this, It will generate a new link here to perform the series of steps with just one click.

Search Filters & Register Customization

To access the document register, I select the module drop down and choose document, then register.

From here you can see there are still filters at the top of each column.

But you can also use the filter sort option here to find what you need.

There are many options such as filtering by version, restricting searches by documents available for download, choosing which columns to use and many others.

When a filter has been applied, note these words, filter sort, change color like this.

To clear any filters, just click the reset button.

Once you have applied filters, you can customize how the register appears on the screen with locked columns.

And different road densities.

Save any views and access them in future here.

Looking for key functions like comments, you'll find them in the actions menu.

Use add to upload documents.

Export your results here.

And finally, download or transmit documents like this.
