Video - InEight Document Enhanced - Manage Submittal Milestones

Welcome to InEight document. This video demonstrates how to managed milestones in Submittals in InEight document. First milestone dates need to be added to different types of submittals. From the submittals register, click actions, then hover over admin and click on manage submittal types.

Here we can see the different types of submittals on this project. And click here to manage the milestone dates for that type. By default, the submission date cannot be removed. Click here to add more milestone dates to the submittal type.

Here you have a list of milestone dates that can be added. Tick the box next to the milestone dates you want to include and click save. Now you can change the sequence, duration, and float of each of the milestone dates as needed. When done, click save and the milestones will reorder to match the sequence numbers.

Now, these milestone dates will be available to use on any of this type of submittal. Once the submittal has been started with the selected milestone dates, they cannot be removed from the list, but can be marked as not active if no longer needed. Back on the submittal type list, you may want to also set the milestone notification setting by clicking here. Here you can see how many days before a milestone date, users will get an email notification reminding them of scheduled, upcoming, and overdue milestone dates.
