Video - InEight Document Enhanced - Outlook Integration

Welcome to InEight Document.

This video demonstrates how to access and bond to in a document mail using your Outlook email account.

First, after getting permission from your project to do so, Download the Outlook integration zip file which you can find at learn dot InEight dot com in the resources section.

Now make sure Outlook is closed and install the integration tool from the zip file.

Contact your IT department to assist if you don't have install rights on your computer.

After installation, open Outlook.

Then select this tab, and click manage projects.

Click add Choose the correct server and enter your login details.

Contact your in a document administrator if you're unsure which server to select.

Next, choose the relevant projects to add to Outlook.

There are options to download all previously sent and received in InEight Mail or specify a date from which mail should be synchronized with Outlook.

Click here again to add any additional projects.

From here, you can also modify the start date for mail to synchronize.

Change the project display name in Outlook and remove projects that are no longer required.

Once finished, click okay.

You'll now have a folder within Outlook, for each unique document project.

Within this folder, you'll find a mail inbox, drafts and sent items.

A transmittal inbox, drafts and sent items, and an unregistered mailbox.

In eight Outlook integration, works very much like standard email. With the added benefit that each action performed through the integration tool.

Is also actioned in InEight Document.

To view an eight mail, select the inbox and double click the mail.

Reply all forward as normal. Choosing the mail type if more than one type is available.

Prepare and send your mail the same way as you would using in a document.

To create new mail, click new item.

Hover over the project, mail, then select the mail type All mail types you have access to on your current project will be visible.

From this tab, you can also change the status of mail by selecting it and then change mail status.

You can also trigger the send receive option and show its progress, and manage your projects and settings from here as well.

If you have access to unregistered mail for a project, You can drag mail received in Outlook.

Into the unregistered mail folder.

To view transmitters, choose the transmitters inbox, and double click the mail.

Download all files or just individual files via the links.

To create new transmitters, click new item.

Hover over the project.

Choose transmittal and then select the transmittal type.

You'll see all transmittal types available to you on this project.

The transmittal can then be completed as normal.
