PBS Changes Register

The PBS Changes Register records all changes to the job's Price Breakdown Structure (PBS). After activation, an entry will be made in the PBS Changes log for each action taken that affects the job's cost or target price.

The PBS Changes Register tracks changes made to the job folder and automatically calculates (and records) their impact on the job’s cost and target price.

Opening the PBS Changes Register

Step by Step — Opening the PBS Changes Register

  1. Select the Price tab.
  2. Under the Audit Log section, select PBS Changes to open the PBS Changes Register.

When used in conjunction with the Change Management module, the PBS Changes Register constantly monitors the job folder for any changes that affect the job’s cost or target price, such as new or deleted items of work, changes to production rates, changes to quantities, and more.

When you activate the PBS Changes Register you can:

  • Automatically capture changes in a log every time a change is made to the job folder that affects the job’s price or cost.
  • Automatically record the nature of the change, including what changed, before and after values, who made the change, date and time, and more.
  • Use a Change Assignment label to group related changes together, even changes that may have occurred at different points in time.
  • Optionally enter full text notes for each change.
  • Activate and deactivate automatic change capturing at any time.
