Managing Companies (Vendors)

The Billings application uses vendor information to indicate what clients to bill on a project. Billings integrates with the Vendors master data library in Platform to populate the Companies data library in Billings.

At the project level, for vendors assigned to a project in Platform, Billings creates a site for the corresponding project and populates the Companies tab under the site with the list of assigned vendors.

When selecting companies for personnel, equipment, and line items on a time sheet in Billings, the Company drop-down list is a filtered list of values based on the project defined for the time sheet, and the assigned vendors that were brought in from Platform to become companies for that project.

In addition, vendors captured on daily plans from InEight Progress are added to the list of companies for that project in Billings and added as line items on timesheets with the applicable company assigned.
