Create an Issue from a Form
Use Case
The client’s rep informs the field engineer onsite that they want to increase the size of one of the steel structures. The field engineer sends an RFI to get more information and document the request as an issue.
You can use InEight Document or InEight Compliance to create an issue while filling out a form.
Regardless of which process is used to create an issue, proper permission levels must be attained.
Create an Issue from a form using InEight Document
Step 1
Within InEight Document, from the Forms register, select the Add drop-down, then select the Form Type.
Step 3
On the Create a new issue window, add the issue name, date and description, then click Save.
-
An issue is automatically created in the InEight Change New Issue log.
-
A link to Change is added to the issue in the InEight Document form.
-
You can also access issues from the Links tab.
Note: Integration between InEight Document and InEight Change must already be enabled as part of your software implementation to use this functionality.
