Assign Field Planners to Activities

Use Case

The field team designates work planners to plan out a look ahead schedule to see how resources will line out for the next 30 days.

This section covers how to set up and assign users in InEight Schedule for managing the Short Interval Planning (SIP) view.

Short Interval Planning (SIP) allows team members to interact with the schedule at a more detailed level, with a focus on field execution. When a CPM Schedule is ready for production, the Short Interval Planning View can be used by field teams to:

  • Plan out crew activity.

  • Set completion goals.

  • Track progress day to day.

Set Up User Access

To get started with SIP, first make sure your field employees have access to the tool.

Let’s walk through an example of how to give a field planner access to Short Interval Planning.
