Release 24.11 Component APIs deprecated fields – Starting with Release 24.11, system, subsystem, turnover, area, and commodity related fields will be deprecated and will no longer be available to provide data. To accommodate this change, the ProjectValues array has been added to the component APIs in Release 24.9. For more information about these changes and the APIs affected, refer to the APIM Integrations 24.9 Release Notes.

Added ability to save a note-only entry against a component – No claiming is required to save a note against a component. Previously, a note was only saved with a claiming adjustment record.
Bulk update ITP mapping – Updated ITP mapping in the quantity tracking view to allow for batches of 50 components to be associated with the same ITP values, or batch removed.
Percentage values – Quantity Tracking columns % installed and % this period have been updated to allow percentage changes and accept decimals. Claiming by percentage is now available.
In this release, no features were added but technical improvements were made in the background to enhance your experience in Plan.
New EWP field – You can now add an engineering work package (EWP) from InEight Design.

Quantity updates from the Standard Grid view– You can now update component quantity directly from the Standard Grid view in Quantity Tracking.

Component name change-The component name can now be changed independent of any quantity. Previously the name field was locked after a component was claimed.

Construction work package (CWP) reports to InEight Document-You can now link Reports to InEight Document from an existing CWP. The flow mirrors the existing IWP flow.

Daily plan creation with all linked project values-The top Daily plan icon has been updated to let you select all eligible records to show in the IWP preview panel.

Document title IWP name updates- The document number is now randomly generated to integrate with Document. Previously, the title was used as the document number, and changes were not recognized. Now when you update the document number, it is persistent, and the document title can be updated and synced with Plan.
AWP documents- You can now search for all hosted files and link IWPs that are live in Document using Plan.

WP right click context in card view- You can now right-click while in card view to add IWPs.
Claiming scheme steps unlocked- You can now edit the claiming scheme and alter the properties after claims have been associated to the claiming scheme. Previously, the claiming scheme and properties were locked after claims were associated.
Import templates- Drop-down lists were added for fields that are validated in the import templates for line items.
Added account code and account code description-Account code and account code description fields are now referenced from InEight Control. You no longer need to maintain these values through import.
Work package account code notes–You can now push account code notes from Plan to InEight Progress.
Quantity tracking AWP filter – You can now filter components by associated work packages.

CWP material data block updates – The Issued qty, Reserved qty, and Available qty fields have been updated in the CWP material data block to match their appearance and function in the IWP material data block.
Planning status field – The Planning status field at the top of a work package data block has been updated to be a drop-down list with the following options: Draft, Complete, and Started.
Bulk update for parent record – The Parent record field has been added to the bulk edit functionality in Quantity tracking.

Column filter width – The width of drop-down lists for column filters in Quantity tracking now automatically adjusts to fit the contents in both standard and data block views.
Delete view icon – You can delete a viewset from the drop-down list of views by clicking the Delete icon to the right of the viewset name.

AWP - Associated material and activity components – When you add a material or activity component to a work package, you have the option to add associated activity or material components, respectively.

Material component changes – A new setting has been added to give you the option of not associating a WBS with, or claiming against, material components. Instead, a material component can be used as the physical item that activities are performed against to install in the field. Previously, claiming was done against material components that earn man hours in Control. You are now able to choose how material components behave to suit your project’s needs.

Add documents from Workspace – You can now attach documents from the Lessons learned, Quality forms, and Work sequence data blocks in the Workspace tab. This change saves you time adding attachments without going to the Documents tab.

Planning Schedule – This new page in AWP is a Gantt chart view of work packages that lets you plan the building and completion of the plan. It also lets you see when the plan is scheduled to be executed in the field. This chart gives you a clear representation of when work planning needs to be completed for work to efficiently progress.

Constraint Management – Constraint Management is now an IWP tab to which you can pin items from Workspace data blocks. This separate tab eliminates the possibility of duplicate entries that could happen when constraint management was another data block.

Reorder work sequence – You can now reorder a work sequence with drag-and-drop functionality. Previously, you could only reorder steps by removing and creating new them.

In the 19.9 release, Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) methodology was officially introduced for Plan. We are continuing to add new AWP features in this release and in future releases to help improve productivity and increase the predictability of project performance.
Print IWP to PDF - You can now attach external files such as photos to an IWP and print to a PDF. The PDF can then be associated with Document and available in an easily-readable document to be shared with field personnel. Previously, the work package was only consumable in Plan itself.

Schedule link – This enhancement gives you the ability to associate a schedule activity ID with components or claiming rule steps in a CWP or IWP directly from a validated list. This provides you with clear ties to the schedule and assures better accuracy. Previously, this association in Plan was manually entered with no integrated association.

Component count – A component count has been added to the Quantity Tracking page, giving you a quick glimpse of how many components are in the system or filtered to. Previously, you had no visibility into how many components were shown, which could lead to trying to filter too much.

Claiming Scheme assignment by Account Code - You can now save time by allowing the system to auto-map WBS to claiming schemes based on the account code association against the claiming scheme and cost items in Control. This process was previously manual and required selecting individual WBS, which can number in the hundreds or more.
