Bulk Delete Components

Welcome to InEight Plan. In this video, you'll learn how to delete components in bulk.

While working in Quantity Tracking, you may need to delete a group of components at once. For example, you may have unwanted components after completing an import, or the scope of your project may have changed.

Bulk delete components

You can use the bulk delete feature to delete up to 500 components at one time.

When you select this option, it will delete the first 500 components from the register.

Note, this operation will not delete components that have quantity claimed against them.

Bulk delete with filters

You can also use filters to target a specific group of components.

You can apply a filter based on a column value or from one of the filter options from the left panel.

Once you've applied your filter, open the Actions menu and select Bulk Delete Components.

You'll see a warning indicating that this action will delete up to 500 components currently displayed in the Quantity Tracking register.

Confirm and click Delete.

Note that only those components selected by your filter criteria are deleted.

If any of the components had quantities claimed against them, they will remain in Quantity Tracking.

You can clear your filter to return to the full list of remaining components.
