Welcome to InEight Plan. From the Quantity Tracking homepage, you can create and manage components and claim quantities against those components. To do so efficiently, you may want to set up a specific view of your project's components. Let's start with how to customize the Standard Grid view.
The Standard Grid view organizes your component information into a traditional spreadsheet view of rows and columns. You can add or remove columns based on your needs. Select the Column Chooser icon on the right toolbar to manage your display. On the left, you'll see a full list of available columns.
On the right, you have a list of the columns currently displayed on the Quantity Tracking page. Use the left and right arrows to add or remove them from your view. Notice that the selected columns have a locked or unlocked indicator to the right. Locked columns are displayed on the left side of your register and remain visible as you scroll through your component data.
Unlocked columns will appear on the right. You can also use the up and down arrows to change the order of your columns. To quickly move a column in the Standard Grid View, click on the header and drag and drop it to a new position. To sort a column, simply click on the column header.
Click once to sort in ascending order. Click again to switch to descending order. Click a third time to remove the sorting feature. You can also filter columns to focus on relevant data.
To apply a filter, click on the filter box in the column header and set your parameters. You can apply multiple filters at one time. When you apply a filter, the Filter Pyramid icon on the left menu turns yellow. Hover over the icon to see the details of the current filter.
To clear the filter, click here. When claiming components, you may prefer the Data Blocks view. Click on the View As icon to switch to the Data Blocks view. The Data Blocks view can be especially helpful when you need to claim quantities against multiple components.
For each claiming scheme step, you can enter the installed quantities in a list without having to open and close individual component records. Select "Manage detail columns" to choose the component details to be displayed. Select "Manage step columns" to set the columns for your claiming scheme steps. To save your view, you can create a view set.
This is a great time saver if you want to come back to your view later. View sets capture your filters and columns, as well as your page layout in sorting. Click here to manage your view sets. You can also share your view set with other users or specific projects.
Note that your view set will not carry over between the Standard Grid and the Data Blocks view. Well, now you've learned to customize and save your view in the Quantity Tracking module. Thanks for watching!
