Video - InEight Plan - Filter and Bulk Edit Components
TRANSCRIPT
In this video, we'll walk through how to filter your components and edit multiple components in bulk without having to use the Excel import/export feature in Plan Quantity Tracking. You can save time by updating the attributes of multiple components at once, but first, you may want to filter down your components. To filter components by CBS, click here. You can then select the cost item to filter by, so it'll only show the associated components.
Click here to apply the filter. Notice the icon is now yellow, indicating a CBS filter is applied. You can click here to clear the query. You can also filter by work package by clicking here.
Here you can select an advanced work package to filter by, so it will only show components associated with that work package. You can filter values of a particular column by clicking on the Filter icon and selecting an operator to filter by, then clicking in the dropdown field and either typing or selecting a value. Perhaps you don't need to see all of the components in your view. Click here to view only the components you've selected.
You can go back to viewing all by clicking here, but it will still keep your other filters. To update these items, click the Bulk Edit icon. You can then select which attribute you want to define and define your value. Then click Save.
Scrolling over, I see my updated items. Well, that covers filtering and bulk editing your components. Thanks for watching!
