Quantity Tracking Navigation

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to InEight Plan. In this video, you'll learn to navigate the Quantity Tracking module, including the Actions menu, the main toolbar, and viewsets.

Actions Menu

From the Actions menu, you can manage claiming schemes, define values for your construction areas and projects, and delete components in bulk.

You can also review activity in the Quantity Tracking module, including import and export history, and any changes made to components.

Manage Components

The component register is the main area of Quantity Tracking.

Here you have a list of all components in your project. Note that many fields are read-only from this view. Fields that appear in black can be edited directly from the component register.

In the main toolbar, you have icons to manage your components. Use the Add icon to create new components.

With a component selected, you can edit, delete, copy, or split the component.

You can also manage any inspection and test plan activities associated to your project.

In the bottom of the screen, there are indicators showing the current number of selected items.

Here you can click View Selected to view those items separately.

This helps to focus on those items which need attention.

Manage Register

On the right side of the main toolbar, you have icons to manage your component register. Click the Export icon to download and import a template, or export a spreadsheet with all of your component data. Click the Import icon to import a spreadsheet with new component data.

Your list of components can be organized into two different views.

Currently, you're on the Standard Grid view, where your components are organized into a traditional spreadsheet view of rows and columns.

You can customize your columns in this view by clicking [the Column Chooser icon].

Let's switch from the Standard Grid view to the Data Blocks view. To switch between views, click [the View as icon].

On the Data Blocks view, your components are grouped together by claiming scheme step.

You can customize the columns in this view by clicking [Manage detail columns or Manage step columns].

Viewsets

Once you have your columns and register organized for your needs, you can save your page layout as a viewset. This will save you time when you return to the Quantity Tracking module or switch between projects.

To save your view, click [the View menu].

You can send the saved view set to make it available to other users or projects in your organization.

Or you can use a view template that has been sent by another user.

Now you've learned to navigate the Quantity Tracking module of InEight Plan. Thanks for watching!
