Video - InEight Plan - Solutions Overview

TRANSCRIPT

The InEight Solutions portfolio provides your project with the tools needed to achieve the best path of construction through every phase of a project, from pre-planning to project turnover. During project setup, whether you are a designer, contractor, or owner, you can collaborate effectively, sharing data and documents between the scheduling, estimating, and engineering teams. As part of pre-planning, schedules from previous projects can be imported with the InEight AI engine, then providing suggestions on sequence, duration, and quantities from previously completed construction work areas and packages.

All stakeholders can then be involved to ensure the proper durations, risks, and constraints are captured for each work area of the project. Next, with InEight Estimate, you can estimate quantities, work hours, costs, and revenue throughout the pre-planning process. Project documentation can be managed within InEight, providing a single source of truth made accessible to all relevant project participants. As the final step of pre-planning, quantities can be updated using either a 2D or 3D takeoff.

If the model is available, you can pass the estimating structure to InEight Model, where the model components are related to the structure. As the new revisions of the model are completed, your estimate quantities can be updated in real time. Finally, you can compare the estimate to historical performance using the benchmarking feature. As you enter the planning phase, information captured in your estimate and schedule can be used to build out installation work packages.

Using InEight Plan, work packages can be populated with items of work to be accomplished in three-week increments. These can be organized by crew or discipline and include the work hours, quantities to be installed, and crews assigned to do the work. Syncing with InEight Model, the documents needed to install the work can be linked to the work packages. Back in InEight Plan, work steps such as safety, quality, and compliance can be associated with the package instead of items of work that are not captured in the models, such as rebar installation, and can be built into the installation work packages as well.

With InEight Document, detailed workflows can be leveraged to track and complete document reviews and manage project email communications across the extended project team. At this stage, the entire project team can use dashboards to ensure planning activities stay on track and constraints are removed before the work starts in the field. To complete the planning phase, your work package information can be sent back to the schedule, where superintendents and foremen can break down the schedule into shorter intervals to plan out their daily work activities and consider factors such as crew availability and weather.

Next comes field execution. Since all the information has been linked up to this point, field progress can simply be captured, and this information used to update your other applications as allowed. Moving into the field, foremen and superintendents can review instructions, specifications, inspections, and daily project plans. Crew hours and progress of quantities can also be captured daily on an offline mobile device.

This information then updates the project budget for tracking project progress, analyzing cost and man-hour variances, and making project forecasts. This information then updates the model, allowing progress to be seen visually on the model or in dashboards. InEight Document can also be used to launch and track process review and approval workflows for RFIs, submittals, and other construction workflows. Additionally, as-built documentation can be tracked in the single project archive.

Through InEight's reporting and dashboards, all data captured during planning and execution can be shared between the owner, contractor, engineers, and any other stakeholders to keep the project on track for both cost and budget. During project turnover, InEight Completions can be used for final quality inspections and checklists, logging issues as needed. All of the project information and documents collected using InEight applications can then be turned over to the owner at the end of the project, providing the owner with a digital twin of their assets from pre-planning to project turnover.

As your project uses the InEight Solutions portfolio, you and your team have the visibility to remove constraints and ensure successful project execution, enabling superior project outcomes.
