Billings 25.9.2 Release Notes

  • LEM submitted status – A new Submitted status has been added to the LEM screen. After creating a LEM, the status clearly identifies the LEMs submission. After a LEM status is changed to Submitted, it cannot be deleted unless you move it back to the allowed status. This new status also applies to invoices.

  • LEM reporting updates – Two new stock reports are now available from the LEM screen, LEM WBS Pivot Coasted and LEM WBS Pivot UnCoasted. Both reports show WBS phase codes as columns.

  • LEM grid updates – The grid view has been expanded beyond the original four columns to provide more visibility into your LEMs. You can now filter by project code to quickly find LEMs tied to a specific project.

  • New description column – A new description column has been added to the LEM register. This column lets you provide context or explanations for individual LEM entries that are visible directly in the LEM register. For more information see,

  • Resource library and cost classification overrides – Billings now imports classifications from InEight Platform, which includes operational resources and assignments. With the applicable permissions, you can now unlock and override these imported values directly in Billings. Without the override permission enabled, the integration updates these values automatically.

In this release, no features were added but technical improvements were made in the background to enhance your experience in Billings.

Company and Source columns in rate tables – New columns were added for Company and Source that support multiple companies with different rate codes and rate assignments for different resource types. The Company and Source columns show for all rate table categories, which includes personnel, equipment, material and line items. ClosedRead more

The Company and Source columns provide flexibility in defining rates for different roles, companies, resource types, or operational resources. For example, if rates differ between companies for the same role, where a subcontractor charges $30/ST hour, while an employee charges $25/ST hour for day shift, and $27/ST hour for night shift, you can now use the new Company and Source columns in the rate table to define the rates.   • New Manual Rate Import wizard – The Manual Rate Import wizard is a new feature under the processes menu that lets you import labor, equipment, material or line Item rates from a spreadsheet. Template spreadsheets are provided when accessing the wizard, but any Microsoft Excel spreadsheet can be used and mapped through the wizard process. ClosedRead more

  • InEight Plan signatures integration – When the Project setting for Progress is set to Require client sign-out, the client’s signature added via the Sign in/Sign out tab in a daily plan now shows as a report in the Attachments tab in the corresponding Billings time sheet.

  • InEight Plan Notes integration – Notes included in a daily plan now show in the Notes tab in the corresponding Billings time sheet.

  • Enabled shifts on Equipment rates – You can now define two different rates per unit of measure for equipment. As a result, you will notice changes to the time sheet screen to include a new column with the two shift types in the drop-down list. ClosedRead more

    The new shift columns enable the expansion of the current rate table functionality to allow for a shift based rate values to be entered against equipment. The shifts now show in the rate table as columns, similar to how they are shown for Personnel.

  • Enabled a third shift for Labor rates – You can now define an additional rate per unit of measure. The new shift is called Other.

  • Column Display Options – You can now show or hide columns in Rate table tabs by selecting the Column Display Options button from the ribbon menu. ClosedRead more

    The Column Display Options button lets you show or hide columns by going to Rate Tables > Selecting a rates table, and then selecting or deselecting each shift column from the Column Display Options button from the ribbon menu. By default, at least one item needs to be selected. If all items are deselected, the drop-down will default to show day shift for Personnel, or Type 1 for Equipment. Previously, the Customer Class Code and Rate Code fields show/hide view options were tied together, they have now been separated. For more information, see Creating a new rate table.

  • Display Employee/Equipment billing class and rate codes – The Display Employee/Equipment billing class and rate codes option found in InEight Plan and InEight Progress under Daily planning time configuration settings now integrates projects with Billing classifications. ClosedRead more

    When the toggle is set to On, the labor and equipment billing classes can be used on the Daily Plans to override the default Billing Classification in Billings. To configure this option, in Billings, click the Publish billing class button in the Billings menu ribbon on the Project that you wish to use the billings classes on.
