Billings Integration to Control

TRANSCRIPT

Introduction

Welcome to InEight Control. In this video, you'll learn how to set up the Billings integration to receive pay item and cost item information from Control and use the billing method for time and material.

Enabling Billing Integration

To enable billing integration and control, navigate to settings, and in your global options tab, make sure that the T and M option is switched on. Once this feature is enabled, billings will be able to access pay item and cost item information from Control.

Recognizing Revenue for Projects

When you create a LEM, labor, equipment, or material for a project, you have the option to recognize revenue as earned once the LEM is either pending or approved.

If you do not want to consider revenue as earned, select the approve option.

Keep in mind that this setting defaults to pending.

After configuring settings, you can track earned and forecasted revenue logged and billings within control against time and material pay items.

This will help guide your forecasted and earned revenue.

Tracking Earned and Forecasted Revenue

Running this sync will bring over all the values not previously synced from billings, contributing to your revenue calculations.

Calculating Pay Items

For example, these three pay items, all using the time and material billing method, will be calculated solely from billings.

The pending LEMs column displays the total value tracked against that pay item that is not yet approved in billings.

Displaying Revenue and Forecasted Total

The revenue earned column will display the LEM value that is considered earned based on the project setting, approved or pending. Your forecasted total revenue will include your pending LEMS, approved LEMS, and the remaining cost assigned to each pay item based on your forecasted remaining cost.

Conclusion

That covers how to set up the billings integration to receive pay item and cost item information from control.

Thanks for watching.
