Video - InEight billings
Edit Rate Table

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to innate billings.

This video demonstrates how to edit an existing rate table. To add a rate table, select project administration, and then click rate tables.

Here we can see a list of existing rate tables. Double click on the rate table that you want to edit.

You can manually edit specific rate table values from each tab.

You can also add a new row by clicking here, and then entering in the rate record details. The new record cannot be saved, unless the classification field is populated.

If a rate record already exists for the classification you have added, the rates will come into effect on the new effective date. And supersede the older rates.

Let's add this new row by clicking apply.

You can delete a row by selecting the row and then clicking here.

Let's delete this row here with the current effective date of channel eleventh.

This will only delete the rate values for the current effective date. It will not delete all historical records for the classification.

After clicking apply, we can see that a record for this classification still exists.

Let's delete this record as well.

There is one more record associated with this classification. Let's delete that also.

Now that we have deleted all records of this classification, the record no longer exists in the rate table. It is important to note that deleted rate records, which have been previously used to create an LEM, are locked in the system and are stored with the LEM record.

So in this case, even though we have deleted all records of the classification, the rates will still apply to previously generated lems.

The deleted rate records, however, cannot be used for newly created lambs.

It is also possible to edit rate tables in bulk. You can do this by clicking mass edit from the ribbon.

Here we can see the options for mass editing the rate table. The mass edit feature does not allow you to adjust specific rate table records. It will apply adjustments to the entire rate table.

If you want more flexibility and the ability to edit specific rate codes in bulk, you can use the rate table import function.

For more information on this import function, see the import rate tables video.

Well, that's a quick look at how to edit a rate table. Thanks for watching.
