Before an Estimate user can import cost items, Estimate must be integrated with Change. Refer to the InEight Estimate Integration InEight Change document for information about integration.
The imported file can be accessed from any issue, but it can be consumed only one time in Change. If you want to use the import file for more than one issue, it must be exported again from Estimate. Only Plug cost items are imported.
The Estimate user exports cost items from the Integrations tab. After the cost items have been exported, they can be viewed in Change in the issue's Import history page (Pricing > Cost item pricing> Actions > View import history).
On the Import history page, the imported file name shows as the project ID followed by the Estimate project description. The file is imported with a status of Pending. When you click the hyperlink in the Status for the pending file, the history opens. The file shows that it was imported with errors. You must select the cost pricing category for each cost item you want to import to the issue. After you have selected the cost item categories, you can select the items you want to import and then click Import. If you do not select cost items before you click Import, only the cost items without errors are imported.
The cost items are added to cost item pricing with a WBS of New.
