Welcome to InEight change. This video demonstrates how to add multiple levels of markup when pricing an issue.
Change supports markups at different calculation levels in the grand total section in both cost item pricing, and the pricing summary. Being able to assign varied markup levels aids in aligning with the pricing structure of the contract, when pricing cost items, tiered markups will be displayed below the grand total in colored bands.
You can now assign markup levels to markups defined in the settings.
Go to settings.
Select change.
Navigate to the configuration tab.
Let's add an initial markup at level zero.
Then a second markup that will go on top of it.
Note that by default, the mark will automatically display on the cost item pricing tab.
Though you can turn this off.
Also note the markup level is enabled for the grand total section only.
Markups in all other sections are level zero, and the field is disabled.
Click save.
Let's look at how to apply these markups on an issue. Navigate to cost item pricing from the menu on the left.
Under grand total, you can view the markup levels we created in project settings since the auto display setting was turned on.
Let's add some pricing to this issue.
Notice the values are zero before we change labor price thing.
Note the markup value for escalation, and the insurance markup being level one is applied on top of all costs, including the escalation.
Markups can also be added manually and applied to the grand total section by clicking here.
Select, add manual markups Then add the markup with a percentage and markup level.
Add to selected markups.
Let's add one more.
Click add to save changes.
We now have two additional levels of markup, with the change order margin being a percentage of all the amounts above it.
Any change calculates markups using the grand total.
For example, if markups in cost item pricing are one percent for level zero. Two percent for level one and so on, and the grand total is one thousand dollars. Change calculates the values as follows.
Well, that covers how to create and calculate markup levels in a neat change. Thanks for watching.
