Executing a checklist placeholder

When you execute a checklist placeholder, you now must meet the following criteria:

• Be online – The system now automatically syncs with the server to prevent duplicate checklist questions.

• Placeholders must have a number and be synced to the server - The placeholders must be registered to the system prior to being executed. The server now creates the checklist questions and must have the placeholder or record to absorb the checklist questions.

When you are offline, you see an error message that shows the following:

• You must be online to execute.

• You cannot answer questions until the checklist placeholder is executed.

  

The Execute button is also disabled.

The error messages also show when the checklist has not been synced.

When you are online and the placeholder has not synced, it shows Chk-TBD in its numbering, and an error message shows the following:

Graphical user interface, text, application, email

When you are online and the placeholder has not synced, it will show Chk-TBD in its numbering and an error message that shows the following messages:

• You must publish changes to execute.

• You cannot answer questions until executed.

  

The Execute button is also disabled.When all the criteria is met, the system still displays the message “Cannot answer questions until executed”, and the Execute button is enabled to execute.

When all the criteria are met and you click Execute, the checklist placeholders and project updates will execute and sync successfully. You can see the execution process status in the images below:

Any pending updates are not sent to the server. Only the execution of this placeholder is sent.

You get an error when the system cannot process the execution request for the following reasons:

• When the checklist placeholder has been executed by another user.

• When there is a configuration issue that will not let the placeholder to be executed.

When the Execute request is successful, the questions become ready to answer as they have in previous versions.

Executing in bulk

The same criteria are required when bulk executing, and publishing changes from the grid view.

When you bulk execute and are offline you see an error message that shows the following:

• You cannot execute checklist placeholder

• You must be online to execute

  

The image below shows the error message when a checklist has not been registered to the system.

When a checklist has not been registered to the system you see an error message that shows the following:

• You cannot execute checklist placeholder.

• You must publish changes to execute.

  

You will still receive a return status from the system for each placeholder executed.

When checklists have been executed by another user, you receive a return status that lists the completed checklist placeholders.

When there is a configuration issue that will not let the placeholder to be executed you receive an error message listing the placeholders that could not be completed.

When there are different types of responses from the system and some checklist placeholders are successful and others not, you will receive the following prompt:

When all items have been executed successfully you receive a confirmation message.
