When it comes to reassignments in the Checklist module, it's an important process that a Superintendent, Foreman or Construction Coordinator will want to master . From within the project, in the Checklist module, we already see some checklist assigned to me and some assigned to my team. In this Piping Package Checklist, if I'm that Superintendent or Construction Coordinator, I want to reassign this checklist to a specific group at the time I want them to participate and complete it. Typically, when that specific IWP is being executed in the field.
I can choose to assign it to a specific individual, or I could assign it to the team and let the team decide who specifically is going to be responsible for covering it. In this example, after the Construction team completes their portion of the checklist, they need to hand off this checklist to the QC team. To do that, they'll click the Reassign button to reassign it to the Quality team. We'll then need to click the Pending Changes button and Publish our results.
Sometimes there will be a notification email that's sent to the quality team, or they can always come into the system and see items assigned to them or their team, just like I did earlier. In selecting items under the Quality team, we can see there are a couple of checklists already there. If you are the Quality Manager, you'd look at each item, see what work has entailed with them, and then reassign both of those checklists in the exact same way we did before to a specific inspector. That inspector will complete their portion of the checklist, review the tests or responses, possibly create issues, and then pass it off to a survey team, or possibly the client, doing the same Assign function we did earlier.
The inspector might be the final signature on the checklist and will be responsible to close the checklist. When the client receives it, they'll witness the results and then provide question responses and possibly create issues if they find defects as part of their checklist inspection. So, the reassigned function allows us to identify what work we're doing, what work's been done, and allows us to pass off the checklist from the construction team to the quality team, and then to the client so they can review the checklist and do the final sign off. Thanks for watching.
