Video - InEight Completions (Legacy) - CHECKLISTS: 3 Answering a Checklist

TRANSCRIPT

In this video, we'll cover how to answer a Checklist in the Checklist module for Completions HQ. I need to complete a checklist assigned to me. So within the Checklist module for my project, I'm clicking on the "Assigned To Me" Quick Flter button. I'll click on the piping release package checklist to complete it.

After confirming the checklist detail information at the top of the page is correct, I expand the checklist to see all of the questions. At the moment, I can't actually action any of these checklists, because it's currently a placeholder of record. When I'm ready to start answering questions or testing is being done in the field, I'll click the Execute button. Now I can start answering the questions.

With the date of the walkdown selected, I can start answering some of the questions using Pass as my response. When I un-click this checkbox, as I continue answering checklist questions, they'll ultimately be removed, so only unanswered checklist questions remain. If I answer a checklist question and it's on a negative condition, the system may ask me if I want to create a new issue. For example, a punchlist or a snag.

If I select YES, I'd fill out the Issue information, but we'll cover that in a subsequent video. We can select the Issue button and add an issue from this interface as well. If I needed to add an attachment to a specific checklist question, I could add it at the question level. And now that attachment will be linked to that specific question.

More importantly, it'll also roll up to the overall checklist. Once we've completed this checklist. I'm the individual responsible for the QC, so I'll go ahead and sign off on the checklist. Then the owner will review the results and sign off on it too.

The last thing I do is to reassign the checklist from myself to the client team. And the client team will now be assigned to this. They'll know to pick it up and answer any outstanding questions. Ultimately, they'll sign off on it and close the checklist when it's appropriate.

Once I'm done with all my checklist responses, I'll publish my changes. That'll push all of the answers, attachments, and issues we've created to the server so it's available to everyone else on the project. Thanks for watching.
