Video - InEight Completions (Legacy) - Completions Mobile - Issues Module

TRANSCRIPT

In this video, we'll walk through creating and editing an Issue in the Completions Mobile app. As a contractor, today you're assigned to work on Electrical splicing box installations and wiring. You're already out in the field. After logging into the Completions Mobile app and selecting the client OGC Market Template project, you'll open the Control Menu.

Based on the need, your Project Administrator will be able to set up and provide access to the modules assigned to you within each InEight Completions project. As you walk to your first assignment, you've noticed an issue. Within your project, tap on the Issues module. Let's document what you found.

Tap the Add New Issue icon. You'll need to enter all of the mandatory fields by tapping on each field and drilling down to the proper action. For free-form fields such as Description, tap on the box and type your response. Then finish by tapping DONE.

When you've completed documenting the new issue, tap DONE and the new issue appears, on the left side under the list of Issues. As an issue progresses through resolution, the status of the issue will change too. But for now, it's labeled as NEW. Notive the Default Due Date is

programmatically set for 8:00 AM -- three days out from when you first created the new issue. The user also has the option to change this due date, as needed. Once a new Issue has been created, a new Issue History event is populated to reflect the issue creation. Tap the BACK icon to return to the previous menu.

You'll always be able to return to an Issue to add comments and attachments, and if your permission level allows, you'll also be able to change due date, responsible party, or the status. Those type of permission levels are all dependent on how your Project Administrator set up the project. You just finished creating that issue, but realize you should have added an attachment to document the issue you found. After tapping on the project and the Attachments icon, you can add an attachment in three ways.

In our case, we'll attach an image of the splicing box from the archive library. Since you've added an image, the Attachments icon will show that you now have one attachment. All changes made by users will be shown under the Project Changes icon. In our case, we're going to publish those changes.

When it's time to resolve the issue, or otherwise change the state of the issue, tap the Status icon and in our example, tap CLOSED. Type in a note explaining how you resolved the issue and tap SAVE. The status of the Issue will now be shown as CLOSED, and has been removed from your list of open issues. You'll notice the CLOSED entry and the History.

While in the history, you can tap on a Status icon for further information about the issue, like attachments and comments. Tap the issue again to close, then tap You can view all closed issues by tapping here, and turning on the CLOSED/INVALID toggle. We've already walked you through the first way to create an issue by navigating to the Issues module and tapping the Create New issue icon. The second way you might want to address an issue is to link an existing issue directly from the Elements, Checklists, or Inspections modules.

For example, within the Inspections module, and for a specific project, you can link an existing issue to that inspection. Tap the Issues icon. If any issues were already tied to this inspection, they'd be shown. In this example, there are none... yet.

Tap on the HYPERLINK icon to an existing issue to that inspection. Scroll through and select the appropriate Issue. Then tap CONNECT. Now the issue is linked directly to this Inspection.

Tap DONE to continue. Now the Issues icon on the Inspections Detail view reflects the number of issues linked to that inspection. Notice you can unlink an image by sliding left on the issue. The third way to create an issue is from within the Elements.

Checklists, or Inspections modules. Using the Checklists module as an example, let's say you found a deviation while performing a checklist. You can create a new issue right within that Checklist. To do that, tap on the Checklists module and then scroll to find your checklist.

Tap to select the checklist, tap checklist questions, and for the step with an issue, tap the Issues icon in the pop-up. Tap on the Add An Issue icon. In the New Issue pop-up window, complete the required fields including a description of the issue found, and tap DONE. And then DONE again to finalize the new issue....and

the new issue appears. Notice you can tap the right arrow to open the issue back up. From there, based on your permissions, you can reschedule, assign a team, update the status, take a photograph, or open the Issue within the Issues module. Tap BACK and then DONE to continue.

In this video, you've learned how to create and edit an Issue in the Completions Mobile app in

three ways: By tapping the Add New Issue icon. By linking an existing issue directly within either the Elements, Checklists, or Inspections modules. And by creating an issue from within the Elements, Checklists, or Inspections modules. We'll explore more functionalities and specifics for other modules, in subsequent videos.
