In this video, we'll review how to edit elements within the Elements module of Completions HQ. Starting in our project, and within the Elements module, we'll start by searching for some specific elements that I need to edit. I could select them individually, but I'm going to select multiple, by holding down the CTRL key and selecting different ones with the click of the mouse. As they're selected, the different cells show up with a yellow box around them.
I can also select a range of elements by selecting the first item, clicking SHIFT, and dragging my cursor down to the last item. I'm just gonna select the first two that are a part of this isometric number, and I'll select Edit Elements from the action buttons. Based on your project role, you may or may not have permission to edit elements of that certain element type. For example, a construction role might not be able to edit an engineering tag, though they could be able to edit a construction tag.
It all depends on how your project is set up and how it's configured. In our case, I'm going to isolate for the bolting information. I'll say the flange size is four inches and the flange rating on them is 300. The gasket material is a Garloc, and now I'll save this information.
Certain fields give the option to pull in a reference table. Here's an example of one. I'm pulling in my four inch CL 300 -ated flange, and when I do, it also pulls in my bolt details from a reference table that the project admin set up on the job. And in this case, it's a look-up table telling us when we have this size and flange rating, we'll need eight, three-quarter inch bolts.
When I select my Garloc 300 gasket, it brings in my gasket information. Based on the reference table, it tells me my minimum, maximum, and average torque values for this actual bolt-up event. In Summary, I can edit my information in bulk. I can edit it using reference tables if they exist, or I can use my drop-down tables to fill in information describing the particular item.
Of course, once we're done, we'll save our work, hit our Pending Changes button and Publish to make our changes available on the server for everyone else to access. Thanks for watching.
