Video - InEight Compliance & Completions
InEight sqc Mobile App

TRANSCRIPT

In this video, we'll see how to fill out forms in both Compliance and Completions on your mobile device to facilitate needs at every level.

Logging into the InEight SQC Mobile App

To log in to the InEight SQC mobile app, you'll need to know your customer code. Check out your website, as it's the first couple of digits of your URL.

Understanding Permissions and Module Access

Based on your permissions and what modules you've been assigned, you may see Completions and/or Compliance options.

For example, if you don't have permission to access the Quality module, you'll not see Completions as an option.

Navigating to Project Module Landing Page

After selecting your project from the projects page of the mobile application, in Compliance, click on a tile.

That will bring you to the project's module landing page.

Notice that within Completions, since there's only the Quality module, when you select a project, you're taken directly to the Categories page.

Whether you're in Compliance or Completions, on this page, you'll see a similar list of Categories that are available to you. Think of each category as a box that contains information pertaining only to that category.

This ensures you don't have to wade through all kinds of irrelevant forms or tasks to find what you're looking for.

Many times, categories align with disciplines or operational areas such as structural, grading, paving, or piping.

Choosing Between Forms and Tasks

When you choose a Category, you'll see the Forms and Tasks toggle.

After selecting one or the other, the associated forms or tasks will populate below.

When you identify the form or task you need, tap on it to open it in another window, and you can then begin completing the form or task.

ITP and Project Structure Headers

You may see either the ITP or Project Structure header at the top of the checklist.

If you see this on a form, it means the template has the ability to pull in configured components from InEight Plan or Project Structure data from Platform.

In this Project Structure header example, you can see after the area is selected, the value options begin to cascade down. Using only the structure that was defined in Settings under the project's Project Structure.

As you select each value, it will narrow down the list of remaining values accordingly.

Status information about all forms or tasks can be seen here along the top, including the Information icon which shows you several data points pertaining to the form or task.

When you've completed the form or task, or you'd just like to save it to work on later, click Save, and it will close the tab. You'll then be taken back to that Category where you can toggle between and select other forms or tasks and fill them out.

Accessing Your To Do List

On the To Do List icon on the Saved tab, you'll see the form that you just partially completed, as well as the other forms or tasks you have saved locally on your device.

Tap on an item to open up the task or event and continue to fill it out.

Scheduled Tasks and Events Overview

Toggling over to the Assigned tab, based on your sync profile configuration, you'll see all your scheduled tasks and events needing your attention.

If the Checkout Sync toggle is enabled on your device, you'll be able to access your assigned forms and tasks.

When done working on the form or task, simply check it back in and the All Events or All Tasks tab on the web application will become updated.

Notification Settings

On the Notifications tab at a project level, you may receive Suite notifications if you have been identified as a specific user or role.

By using the iOS Notification settings to control your notification alerts, you can set up push notifications to alert you of any updates to your assigned events and tasks.

That way, when an assigned item is set up, you'll receive a notification on your mobile device. You can tap on the notification to launch the application automatically.

And if you're logged in, it takes you directly to the item in the To Do List.

Just remember, you must be logged in to the application to receive notifications.

Settings tab options

In the Settings tab on the menu, you'll identify your sync settings.

Under Sync Profile, integrated lists for the current supported items, equipment, and vendors are available offline in the SQC mobile app. Depending on the filters applied to the integrated list items, what you see available on the integrated questions may be impacted if you go offline.

If your device has an active internet connection, the filters on the list are ignored, and a live query is performed, which will return all potential values available.

Check In and Out

Also on the Sync Profile is the ability to toggle on checkout sync.

Check-in and checkout allow any event or task of any status to be checked out to any user on the project, provided their permissions allow.

This is great when the form or task was started on the web, but needs to move over to a device out in the field to work on it.

Another useful use case for using this functionality is when a person is on vacation and they have a form or task sitting in their offline mobile device.

On a website, an individual with the proper permissions can check that item back in for someone else to take charge of.

This check-in and out feature also allows for events with a form flow to be sent to a user's mobile device, so they can complete it in the field.

Pending Sync

And on the Pending Sync Messages toggle, if turned on, you'll receive an alert message when you launch the SQC application, reminding you there are pending records in the queue.

If you need to open another project on your device, you get this pop up, indicating you have pending saved forms or tasks that need to be acted upon first.

Swiping Left and Right

When you open the To Do List, you can delete a form or task by swiping left.

And on a saved item, you can also swipe right to force a sync.

Kiosk Mode

You can set the mobile application to run-in Kiosk Mode, which limits functionality to filling out and submitting forms or tasks, without requiring users to sign in.

Kiosk mode is useful if your project has subcontractors who may not be users in your system, but who need to report information.

When set in Kiosk Mode, the other settings will be grayed out and unable to be selected.

And that's a quick overview of the InEight SQC mobile app.

Thanks for watching.
