Welcome to InEight Design. This video demonstrates some of the key settings for the engineering module in InEight Design. First, let's start with organization settings. To access the organization settings, click here.

Then the Design tab. Make sure you are on the engineering settings tab. In disciplines, resource types, and milestone subtabs, you can add specific engineering entries that the organization may want to use to aid resource allocation and to track progress against it. This example shows how they applied to claiming schemes In the engineering module.

Design elements and account code sets can be configured, allowing you to define metadata for your market to provide additional data analytics. This is how they're applied to scope items in the engineering modules. Cause code settings referred to the codes required on any quantity change made on a scope item when the budget is locked. Here, you can see how this is applied in the engineering module.

More information about all settings can be found in our knowledge library. Next, let's navigate to the project settings area. Make sure you are within a project. Click here, select settings, then the Design tab.

Make sure you are on the engineering settings tab. Most of the project settings are inherited from the organization settings, saving you time from having to reenter the values. In resources types, milestones, and team settings, you can add or delete entries from the org settings master list for your project. The team settings also allow you to limit access here.

If you cannot see this setting, make sure it is enabled in the resources tab. Teams can be used to group scope by the internal and external teams working on the project. In the dates tab, you can enable scope item dates and choose from the options. Here you can see how this is applied to scope items in the engineering module.
