SCOPE ITEMS Bulk Editing

Welcome to InEight Design. Design provides an easy way to edit multiple scope items simultaneously. Editing scope items in bulk saves you time by avoiding imports and exports to update multiple scope items and having to update single scope items at a time.

Let's take a look. In the engineering module, select those scope items that have not been started on. Once selected, click the edit scope items icon. The edit scope items dialog box opens. Clicking here expands the selection to show scope items in resources. When selected, each one will show the available columns for updates.

For example, to update the unit of measure under a scope item, select it and click on its UOM. Now you can enter the value by selecting the drop down list here and making a selection.

Once you save, all the scope items you selected now have LF as their unit of measure.

When the columns you selected have fields that cannot be updated, a red message alerts you that the field is not editable for at least one of the scope items. Remember, you cannot edit a locked WBS or a claiming scheme.
