Roles and permissions

You can use Model roles and permissions in InEight Platform to better manage access to Model. For example, you can create a role named Estimator with permissions to Tags and objects and Data Transformation Operations (DTO) only. The following permissions can be assigned to roles:

Section Description
Model Allows an Admin to select permissions for users to access Model projects and Model mobile and to select permissions to publish model streams and manage Model projects.
Tags and objects Allows an Admin to select permissions for users to manage tags and objects.
Data Transformation Operations (DTO) Allows an Admin to select permissions for users to manage and run DTOs.
Advance Work Packaging (AWP) Allows an Admin to select permissions to manage AWPs and AWP claiming.
Elements Allows an Admin to select permissions to manage the elements and elements claiming.
Master presets Allows an Admin to select permissions to manage master presets.
Styling Allows an Admin to select Edit styling permissions.
Coordination Allows an Admin to select permissions for users to access the Clash and Issue Manager panels and manage clashes and issues.
Measurements Allows an Admin to select Edit measurements permissions.
Archive library Allows an Admin to select permissions manage the archive library and edit folder.
Project structures Allows an Admin to select permissions for users to view and edit project structures and edit permissions for model streams.
Excel Plug-in Allows an Admin to select permissions for users related to the Microsoft Excel plug-in’s linked data, tag import, tables, Visual Reporting, and InEight Schedule Inspector.

Permissions with a yellow caution icon indicates that by selecting the permission, it also enables related permissions in other Model permission sections.
