Does your organisation use an eight document for storing your project documents and forms? Do you have users that need to access those docs and forms from other InEight applications like Contract or Progress? In this video, we'll show you how to set up the integration between InEight document and the InEight suite of applications, so your project and field personnel can access their supporting documents and initiate forms from within their InEight tools. Before we begin, there's a few things to have in place.
First, reach out to your InEight consultant and they'll put you in touch with the appropriate Document consultant. Provide them your document server URL and the project numbers for the projects in InEight Document you want to connect to. Next, an InEight Document, admin within your organization needs to create a service account. This account needs access to all projects, which will be integrated into InEight Suite.
Your InEight Document admin can set the password for this service account. Last, under the InEight Suite Administration, make sure you have access to the Application Integrations Module. Let's begin setting up the integration. From Suite Administration, navigate to Application Integrations and select Document.
At the top of the screen, you can select the document server your company uses from the dropdown, or add a new one if it's not there. To add a new server, add the server URL you use to access in a document and your company's login credentials for the service document account that was already created. Fill in the SSO domain field if your company is using Document Single Sign-on. Your added document URL now appears in the dropdown list.
From here, assign the URL and document project IDs to their corresponding InEight Suite projects as needed. Note that when you select the project id, it fills in the corresponding project name automatically. Be sure to sync all projects. You should get a message that it mapped correctly.
Well, that's all there is to it. For those assigned projects, employees with the right access can now access documents and initiate forms that are stored in InEight Document. Directly from their InEight Suite application. To test it, have a user access a document or form from within one of the suite applications, like adding a supporting document and contract.
Looks Like it worked! Now you know how to set up the integration between an InEight Document and your other InEight applications. Thanks for watching.
