Video - InEight Schedule - Schedule Review

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to InEight Schedule.

This video demonstrates the steps to manage a cycle review.

Review feedback from markup in schedule review, run a risk simulation,

and review the outputs available from the simulation.

Starting from the project list menu, select your project.

From here, navigate to schedule configuration.

Here you'll be able to add contributors to your schedule with the role of

markup,

which will allow an individual the ability to come into InEight schedule and be

given access straight to the markup view.

Once markup contributors have been added to your schedule,

navigate back to plan view.

You are now able to assign the contributors at either the schedule or

WBS level under the delegation folder found in Iris.

This allows contributors to provide markup at a level specified by the

scheduler, allowing the user to control permission level within markup.

After you have assigned the desired contributors Navigate to manage review

cycle.

Here you can customize your review cycle as needed.

Once you have the review cycle setting set, click start review cycle.

This enables markup view as well as sends out emails to your schedules assigned

contributors,

notifying them the review cycle has begun they are a contributor

for.

Contributors will be able to click a link in the email that will take them

directly to the assigned schedule's markup view,

where they'll be able to contribute markup and feedback to the scheduler.

Once the review cycle has been started,

you now can go into markup view and begin to provide your feedback on the

schedule as needed.

The scorecard on the right allows you to address duration uncertainty on a

schedule, WBS, or activity level. Also,

the note icon found in the scorecard can be used to add discrete risks to

schedule WBS or activity levels.

Risks can be added from the knowledge-based register schedule register,

or a new risk can be added as needed by users.

After the markup contributors for your schedule have submitted their feedback,

you can end the review cycle from the manage review cycle screen,

status and attributes of contributive feedback is also found here.

Ending a review cycle keeps contributors from accessing the markup view so

that risk simulations can be run with feedback that is static.

This gives us more confidence in the feedback being used for the simulations.

Once the review cycle has been ended.

Navigate to the schedule review view.

Here we can review uncertainty feedback, register events,

and adjust method of uncertainty intelligence.

After the user has reviewed feedback and made adjustments as needed,

a risk simulation can be run

and risk histograms and tornado charts can be produced.

With the tornado chart open,

you can toggle on details such as criticality and float consumption.

Criticality shows how often activities fall upon the critical path during

simulation runs.

Float consumption allows you to visualize hidden risk assignments due to float

consumption and compare activity risk tolerance versus net

impacts.

Once risk simulations have been run,

we have the option to apply the risk adjustment schedule to the deterministic or

current schedule in plan view.

Note that if the risk adjusted schedule is applied to the deterministic

schedule, the plan view schedule will be overridden. Well,

that's how to manage a risk review cycle in InEight schedule.

Thanks for watching.
