    • Expression Box: Type your formula expression here, or add expression elements by double-clicking items in the Expression Values section as described below.
      • Hover over or select a Field to display the Field information from the single formula element.
    • Expression Elements: Select an element type to view its categories in the Expression Values list.
    • Expression Values: Double click a value to add it to the Expression Box.
      • If Functions is the selected Expression Element, a drop down selection list of categories of functions will be displayed. The list can be filtered making it easier to find the preferred function.
    • Help and Information about the selected expression value: When an expression is selected from the Expression Values list an explanation of that expression and how it is used will appear in this window.
      • If Functions is the selected Expression Element, choosing a Function in the Expression Values section will display the selected functions syntax as well as a brief description of how the function is intended to work.
      • If Operators is the selected Expression Element , choosing a mathematical operator in the Expression Values section will display a brief description of what the operator does.
      • If Fields is the selected Expression Element , the Expression Values section will list all the available variables used in the Cost Item Assembly, as well as displaying the variable type and the Description as provided by the user in the Description Field of the indicated Input or Calculation variable.
      • If Constants is the selected Expression Element, then choosing any of the values in the Expression Values section will provide a brief explanation of the constant.
    • Referencing Table data in the Formula Editor: Tables can be used to provide reference data for use in calculations.
