Estimate in the cloud 26.5 release notes

This is a preview of the upcoming release. General release is available starting 06-JUL-2026.

• Man-hour based dependent cost item allocation — You can now allocate costs for man-hour based dependent cost items. This update makes man-hour-based cost allocation work the same way as other dependent cost item types. You can select the Allocate this item’s cost option on the Allocation tab.

• InEight Estimate release notes dialog box — A new Release Notes dialog box shows when you first launch Estimate to quickly view a summary of the release notes without interrupting your workflow. Read more

  

  In the new release notes summary dialog box, you can click the Full release notes link to view the Release Notes page in the Knowledge Library. Previously, you were automatically redirected to the Release Notes page.

• Cost item assemblies performance improvements — Performance improvements have been made to cost item assemblies when using table data.

• InEight Estimate Launcher — The Estimate Launcher has been updated and must be installed prior to accessing Estimate. For more information about launching Estimate, see the First time access topic.
