InEight Contract - Bid Package Import Template

A convenient way to create bid packages is through import using the bid package import template.

The bid package template includes the budget and milestone dates for tracking progress of the bid package and a division of responsibility.

Milestones are set at the project level as well as division of responsibilities and email addresses.

In this template, all columns which are required and which are optional are indicate This will enable you to upload complete bid packages.

You can also export existing bid packages make changes, and reimport the data to append any bid packages.

To import a bid package template, first select the import data from the template icon. This pulls up the import data from template window.

Notice at the top left of the window, there's an import template link.

Since you don't already have a bid packages file, click this link to download the template for importing bid packages.

Open the template and fill out each column with the information pertaining to your bid package. You will notice that there are three worksheets on the bottom of the template The first worksheet instructions will give you the information you need to understand the color coded columns and what they mean.

The second worksheet data is where you'll enter your data for the bid package. Notice the columns are colorized to indicate which columns are system generated required data, optional data, and ignored data.

Worksheet three, master data, provides the selection and options for all drop down menus of the template.

Once your data is added, select file, save as, and save this file to your computer Return to the import data from template window and click browse.

Locate your file and select it for import, Then click the import button. You can see the import routine is underway.

Once complete, you can view the bid packages successfully imported into your bid packages register.

To export data, select the export data icon. When you select the icon, you'll see options for exporting your form with data.

Only columns that have been added to the bid package list will be exported.

Use your column chooser to update your layout and save it for exporting.

The system downloads an export file that contains the bid package information from the bid packages register.
