You can customize and add milestones at our project level and reorder them at an organization level. This adds more flexibility in defining project milestones. At the organization level, a toggle allows you to activate or deactivate a milestone. When set to active, a milestone is available for selection at the project level.

When set to inactive, the milestone does not show in the default for new projects. Deactivating a milestone is different from deleting a milestone. Deactivating a milestone takes it out of use while still maintaining the integrity of projects that have used the milestone. Also at the organization level, you can indicate whether projects can edit or add milestones by selecting the allowed projects to edit, add milestones checkbox.

When selected, you and other users can add milestones or rearrange the order of milestones at the project level. You can change the order of milestones at both the organization and project levels. To move a milestone up or down in the order, select the milestone and then use the up and down arrows to move it to its new position. Organization level milestone positions are defaults for new projects.

You can now change the positions at the project level. If the organization level has required a milestone, you cannot turn it off or delete it. Required milestones appear in the list dimmed. While still in the projects level, you can add custom milestones.

Enter the milestone name and indicate whether it is required. Click the Add Milestones icon. Managing bid package milestones gives you the flexibility in defining project milestones.
