InEight Contract - Bid Package Milestones

The bid package milestones tab allows you to see the milestones and key dates of your bid package. You can open a bid package milestone tab by clicking the bid package ID or description from the bid package register page. The milestone tab is organized into the scheduled dates Information Group and Milestones Information Group. In the scheduled dates Information Group, notice the kickoff date and the project delivery date, or needed by date are autopopulated from when the bid package was set up.

In the Milestones Information Group, you can view the milestones needed to complete the bid package. Some milestones auto-populate based on the project settings, but you may add milestones to your bid package as you see fit. Within the Milestones Information Group, you have the scheduled and forecasted sections. In the scheduled section, you can see each milestone's duration, and schedule completion date.

In the forecasted section, the project duration of each milestone and forecasted completion date are shown. Additionally, the Milestone's Information Group donates the total available float and remaining float days for your bid package. Let's add a new milestone to the bid package. In the milestones information group, click the add icon to add a new milestone From the add milestone window select issue for owner review.

Note the milestones you selected appear in the selected milestone section. Click add to commit these milestones to your bid package. Now complete the information under the scheduled duration and completion dates. When you change the date under the completion date column, the duration days will reflect that change.

This also happens in reverse. Changing the duration will change the dates. Now that the milestones are scheduled, let's update our forecast. Notice we have some float, which is the difference between our project delivery date and the forecasted completion date of our last milestone.

Lastly, as the milestones are completed, you can enter the actual completion date and the flag will change color indicating that a milestone has been completed. You can adjust the date if it was completed on a date different than the current day by clicking the calendar icon on the right of the popup. Once you've selected the actual completion date, click save. Note that the status update displays on the top left of the bid package header.
