In InEight Contract, you can expand, move, sort, and filter your columns according to your needs. To expand columns, you can simply drag the column header dividers to increase or decrease the column width; similar to working in Excel. Hover over the column header divider and you'll see your cursor change from the arrow to the width selector. Click and drag the width of the column to the desired size.
Drop the divider at the location you would like it to remain at. To move columns you can drag and drop as you see fit. Say within the contracts register, you want the status column to display to the left of the description. Click and drag the status column header from the current position over to the left.
You'll see the column appear raised with a shadow box. Hover next to the description header and two black arrows appear to guide you to the new column location. Drop the column header when you see the two black arrows to set it in place. You can sort columns in ascending or descending order for both alpha and numeric fields.
You sort on any column by clicking on the column header. Click once on a text column and the column sorts from A to Z. Click on a numerical column and it sorts low to high. Notice the column you sort shows an arrow pointing upwards.
Click again on these columns and they sort Z to A or high to low, and the arrow changes direction to point downwards. Click on the headers again and the column resumes. Its original state. To filter a column, click the filter icon in the header.
This looks like an inverted pyramid. Once you select the filter icon, a dropdown appears, scroll to the filter option and you can select from a variety of options to filter by depending on the type of column you're filtering and the data within, different options are available. If you select a column containing data filled in by free text, you'll filter by selecting the required operator and entering a keyword. The operators available for you are contains, is equal to, is not equal to, starts with, does not contain, and ends with.
If the column has data populated from a validated list, you'll filter by selecting the appropriate items from a checklist. Additionally, filters can be locked and unlocked. To do so, select the filter icon in the header and select lock or unlock. You'll see when the column is locked, it appears on the leftmost side of the screen and this indicates that it's locked.
Once you've applied a filter, the filter icon will display yellow. This signals which columns you've set filters on. To clear a filter, click the filter icon and select clear.
