InEight Contract - Contract Creation

The contract application is meant to create, store and manage your contracts during the lifecycle of a project. Within InEight Contract, you can create a contract in two different ways by converting a bid package to a contract, or by creating a contract from scratch. In this video, you'll learn how to do both. To create a contract from a previous bid package, select contract bid packages from the navigation toolbar.

You'll now see a list of your un-awarded bid packages. Select the bid package you want to convert. Review all the information in the bid package to ensure it's correct and still relevant to that particular scope of work. You'll want to review the overview tab and milestone tabs along with a supporting documents tab.

Once you verified that everything is accounted for and accurately filled in, click on the convert to contract button. Your bid package has now started the process of becoming a contract. A prompt comes up for you to fill in the details for this new contract. For the title type structural steel with your initials.

Select the type of contract that you're creating. For this example, you'll select service agreement. Select consultant as the subtype. Enter the effective date, then select your vendor.

In this case, Merrill Iron and Steel. Select your storage location, then click add. The screen looks slightly different as the accordion menu is available on the side. From the contract homepage, you see a list of all the contracts that have been created.

The add contract window appears where you can enter details for your contract. For the title type structural steal with your initials. For type select service agreement, select professional services as the subtype, enter the effective date, then select your vendor. In this case, use Merrill Iron and Steel.

Select the storage location. And in the scope of contract box type professional services, to complete site cleanup. Click add to create the new contract.
