Before payments can be processed for your contract, any supporting documents attached to your contract must be approved. Beginning at the organization settings, navigate to contract workflow assignments, document approval setup. You will begin by selecting your contract type. Select the add button to begin building the approval steps.
The add approval slide out opens for you to select the document type and name the approval step. At the bottom, you can assign approval roles. At the organization level, approval is always role-based, but you can specify whether projects must select specific users based on assigned roles. Select add to close the window.
Your new step appears. At this time, you can add any additional steps if necessary. At the project level, the steps are similar. After selecting the contract type, you'll see the approval step you created from the org level.
Select the edit icon to open the slide out once again. At this level, you will select users. Click add. The step is completed.
Moving into contracts, open the supporting documents tab and select the plus icon to add a new supporting document. Complete the name and description. Select the contract dropdown and if you choose to tie a contract to your supporting document, select a listed contract. Continue to fill out all the required fields, then click add.
Select the start approval button to begin the approval. The start approval dialogue box opens to show all the steps for the approval. There are no dollar threshold associated with this document. Therefore, this will show all document types with the steps.
It'll appear along with any other approvals you need to complete. With the appropriate permissions, you can recall a document after it has been approved. To recall a document, click the edit icon and open the edit supporting document dialogue box. Then click recall approval.
You can now complete an approval setup for any upcoming supporting documents.
