InEight Contract - Page Navigation

TRANSCRIPT

The main page you access when first opening the module is the register page consisting of rows and columns, like a spreadsheet to list out several lines of information at once. Each registered page of InEight Contract contains menus and tools to help you navigate and perform key functions on the page. On the far right, you have the profile icon. Click this to view your notifications, access your user profile, or sign out of your account.

Below the navigation bar, you see tabs specific to the register you're in. The tabs available depend on which page you're on for bid packages or contracts. These tabs provide you pertinent information to the documents and the register. The contracts page contains tabs where you can toggle between your contracts, supporting documents, invoices, accruals, and receipts, and contract templates.

On the left of the page above the register, you have an actions menu. This dropdown menu contains key functions you can perform specific to the page you're on here. You can view import history, use the query builder to search for particular contracts or invoices, run a report or look at your email log. To the right of the actions menu is the toolbar.

The toolbar contains functions for the register page you're currently viewing with specific editing options on the left and options that involve the entire page on the right. These options vary based on which contract register and tab you're on. If you hover the mouse over each icon, you can see what each icon represents. First, you have the add function.

You'll use this to add new bid packages and contracts to the register page. Next, you have the edit function. This function allows you to edit a select bid package or contract on the register page. Use the delete icon to delete select bid packages or contracts from the register page, and use the copy icon to copy an existing bid package or contract.

On the right toolbar, the export icon allows you to export bid packages and contracts to an Excel template. To the right of the export function, you'll find the import function, which you may use to import bid packages and contracts from an Excel template. You also have a button for adding notes and an information icon. If you select this function, a slide out panel appears providing additional information on the selected item.

The last function in the toolbar is the search function. You can search for information across all columns for specific content based on the keyword you enter. Next, you'll access the record pages. Record pages can be accessed from the bid package, contracts and register pages.

Record pages provide us specific items, entire record for you to drill into. Select a specific contract record from the register below by clicking on the hyperlinked ID or name. You're now at the record page for the selected contract. Record pages contain common features to navigate and perform functions on the page.

At the top left of the page, you have what's known as breadcrumbs. This references the record you're on and the path to get there. You can click on the breadcrumbs to go back to previous pages, such as the register page. Next, you'll see a familiar menu, the actions menu dropdown.

This menu contains key functions you can perform for the record you're on. In this case, you can view import history, generate a contract document, or run a report. To the right of the actions menu are tabs for the record you're on. Each tab contains pertinent details to the record currently open.

Below the tabs is the toolbar, which contains specific tools for the page you're on, such as add, edit, delete, copy, et cetera. The area below contains detailed record information pertaining to the tab you're on. This may be organized into a register or individual fields organized into sections. Some tabs include a view menu.

Here you can filter what appears on your display by selecting default view sets from the dropdown list or by creating your own view sets.
