InEight Contract - Sending a Document with DocuSign

You can send contracts directly to DocuSign to include electronic signatures. In this case, we have a vendor change order we want to send to the vendor to sign. Our project Admin has already added the list of possible recipients in the project level settings, and we've made sure our recipients have a DocuSign account. In the contract, let's navigate to header and move down the page to the DocuSign area.

Here we can verify the recipients for this document. If some are missing or need changes, we can edit the fields at this time. Once edited, select save. On the supporting document tab, we'll select the document we want to send for signatures, and then click on the send for signature icon.

The send for signature dialogue box appears. Here, we can verify the names under assigned are correct. You can delete and add names by selecting the minus to remove and add from the unassigned list below. Once completed, click either next for the next page or send to go to the DocuSign document.

In this case, we'll click next. The second panel opens for you to complete the subject line and message to recipients. Notice at the top of the page a link to the template you selected. You can view this at any time.

Once completed, click send. This opens a preview document where signature lines can be created from the names and titles of your recipients. At the top left corner, the recipient's names are shown. when you select one of the recipients, all the fields below will relate to that person.

Since there are two signatures required on this document, each name will have different colors. Drag the items onto the screen under the correct color placement. Other items are provided, which can be dragged onto the screen as well related to the person selected. On the right side of the screen, there's a few formatting features you can apply to the select recipient on the form.

Before you complete, you have the options to save and close or discard. Also, prior to descending, you can still preview the document by selecting the recipient preview button. This preview will show all the signature lines as they're placed with titles. Once completed, click send.

When sending is completed, an update will appear under the DocuSign status under the supporting documents tab. This will track the progress of the document for signatures in the cycle. Well That covers how to set up a contract or VCO in contract to send through DocuSign.
