InEight Contract - Supporting Documents Tab

TRANSCRIPT

Welcome to InEight Contract. This video demonstrates how to add supporting documentation for your contract. Within a contract, the supporting documents tab holds all the documentation for your contract. Because this information is under one tab, it makes it easy to verify you have all the necessary documentation for the contract.

Click here to add a document. From the dropdown, you can select a new document, one from the support document list or from InEight Document. Let's look at the first option by selecting new supporting document. Selecting.

This opens the add supporting document dialogue box. In this window, you must specify the document type. Some document types require more data such as insurance. Complete the required information, attach your document and click add.

Your document is now in the register. Returning to the add supporting document dropdown, select from supporting document list. The list of documents in your project, which are not associated to a contract appear. From here, you can select and add your document.

It will now appear in your document register. The last choice is from InEight Document. Add your credentials and log in. When Document opens, select your document and move it to the selected work items link.

Once moved, select postback. Complete the fields in the add supporting document dialogue box. Click here to add. Your document now appears in the supporting document register.

Once your document is in the register, you can decide whether to allow its details to appear in a generated contract document. Using the toggle under the show in generated document column, you can choose to select a yes or no. When the toggle is set to no, it will not show. Also in the register, a timestamp indicates when the document was added or changed.

To view your document, rather than having to download it first, select a link under the file slash link column. This opens a preview of your contract supporting document. If needed, you can download the document as well. If a document needs to be approved, you can select the document from the register and then click on the start approval button to begin the process.

Once the approval is started, you will be notified and can see the status under the approval status column. In the main supporting documents register under contract, you see the status of all the documents in the project, their approval statuses, what type of document and their links. Now you've learned about the supporting documents tab and its functions. Thanks for watching.
