Welcome to InEight Contract. This video demonstrates how to import and add new line items into a VCO in contract. The VCO line item import function allows you to update the quantity or price on existing line items after the contract has been published. This will provide efficiency in large change orders.
From contract's VCO tab select to open a VCO. Select the line items tab, In the VCO. You now have an import functionality. If the contract has not been published, the icon will be disabled.
Select the import icon, then select the import template link. This will download the Excel template. Open the template tab. This template is dynamic so you can edit existing line items or add new lines.
There are instructions on the first page to read as well as on top of the template to help you if you are editing existing lines, there are instructions on row one, on the quantity you are entering, which will be the change quantity. Save your changes and additions, then import the changes back into the VCO. You'll receive an email once the file has been imported. It will indicate in the email if there are errors, If errors have occurred return to the contract's VCO action menu and select View the import history.
Select the pending for the line item, and it'll open the error for you to fix. When edits are completed, select import, and then close. You now know how to import VCO line items and add new line items into a VCO in contract. Thanks for watching.
